4Louis Charity

On 7th October we attended a charity ball in aid of a family run small charity called 4Louis. 

This charity was set up when a family sadly lost their baby. Louis's grandfather sadly lost his grandson as a stillborn 13 years ago, it made them realize how little support there is for anyone that's experienced child loss, whether that be due to still born, miscarriage etc.

After my aunty experiencing the same thing 19 years ago when we found out they were hosting a charity ball at cottons hotel it was an immediate thought to go enjoy a night out all whilst supporting this amazing charity to help others who may experience baby loss. 

4Louis support parents by raising money for bereavement rooms, allowing family to be able to grieve away from the maternity ward, away from hearing babies, away from potentially more upsetting posters on walls etc. 

Memory boxes, to be given to families that have lost a child.

Cuddle cots which allow the babies body to be persevered for longer to give families more time with their child before they have to say goodbye, more time to come to terms with what has happened.

There are so many ways in which this amazing charity supports families with baby loss and I am so grateful to have been able to be part of raising money for such a charity. 

Whilst at the ball we met and spoke to Bob and Tracey who are Louis's grandparents. It was so bittersweet to hear them tell their story. Making a few tears appear amongst a fair few people in the room.

I am hoping with the help of everyone else we can continue to support this charity, and continue to raise awareness of baby loos, raise money to help grieving parents, and their families. 

Please if you can spare a small amount you would be making a huge difference to a grieving family to just be able to access these services. 

Below I have attached some photos from the amazing charity ball they put on at Cottons hotel and spa, and I will be sure to update how much was raised and add on when the ball will be next year for those that can perhaps make it to support them.
